FFELIX-HOPPE-SEYLER PRIZE

The German Society for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (DGKL) endows the Felix-Hoppe-Seyler Prize for outstanding scientific performance and achievements in the field of clinical chemistry and laboratory medicine.

 

Endowment

€ 10.000

 

Conferment

As a rule, the prize is awarded every three years on the occasion of the annual general meeting of the German Society for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine. Conferment is undertaken by the president of the DGKL or his/her deputy.

 

Award recipients

The prize is awarded to individuals, groups of individuals or working groups for exceptional achievements in clinical chemistry and laboratory medicine. Worthwhile merits include outstanding research findings, development and implementation of trend-setting concepts or extraordinary commitment to teaching and advanced training.
The prize cannot be shared.

 

Call of proposals

The prize will be announced nationally. Applications may be submitted to the German Society for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine. Members of the German Society for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine may suggest possible award recipients. Suggestions must be submitted with detailed substantiation. Jury
Voting for the prize will be carried out by a jury comprising:
(1) two members of the DGKL executive committee, one as chair
(2) three members of the DGKL appointed by the executive committee.The prize will be awarded without legal prejudice.
