Information

The „Foundation for Pathobiochemistry and Molecular Diagnostics“ is a foundation under German Civil Law based in Karlsruhe.

The purpose of the foundation is to promote science and research as well as public health care. The foundation uses its funds for research and development projects in the field of pathobiochemistry and molecular diagnostics. The foundation performs activities aimed at the continuous improvement and quality assurance of laboratory diagnostic examinations.

The purpose of the foundation is achieved especially through

a)  the granting of scholarships for research and further education exchanges of young, qualified scientists in recognised domestic and foreign institutes,

b)  the promotion of scientific congresses, symposia or similar events,

c)  support for the implementation and publication of relevant research and development work, providing that such promising preparatory work already exists,

d)  scientific prizes,

e) the operation of the Reference Institute for Bioanalytics as a reference institution according to the respective valid guidelines of the German Medical Association for quality assurance in medical laboratories.
